Some alternative methods of taking a screenshot are as follows:
Screenshot Method 1
Windows XP:
- Click on Start
- Click on Run
- Type OSK and click OK
- This will bring up the On Screen Keyboard; make sure it is not covering the results
- Open the window you want to capture (such as your quiz results)
- On the on screen keyboard, click CTRL and ALT then click PrtScn to screenshot selected window
- Click PrtScn to take a screenshot of the entire window
- Click on Start
- Click on All Programs
- Click on Microsoft Office
- Click on Microsoft Office Word
- Right-Click in the blank area and select Paste
- Click on File
- Click on Save
- Click on the Desktop icon on the left hand side
- Under File Name type a unique name for the file (i.e. Quiz Results - [QuizName])
- Under File Type select JPEG
- Click Save
Windows Vista/7:
- Click on Start and locate the Start Search
- Type OSK and click on the On Screen Keyboard icon at the top of the list
- This will bring up the On Screen Keyboard; make sure it is not covering the results
- Open the window you want to capture (such as your quiz results)
- On the on screen keyboard, click CTRL and ALT then click PrtScn to screenshot selected window

Windows Vista/7:

- Click on Start
- Click on All Programs
- Click on Accessories
- Click on Snipping Tool
- To activate Left Click Hold in the upper right hand corner of what needs to be captured
- Drag the cursor to the lower right hand corner of what needs to be copied let go Ensure that the selection is what you need
Windows 8/8.1:
- Open the window you want to capture (such as your quiz results)
- Click on Start
- Type in "Snipping Tool" on the keyboard or use the search by moving the cursor to the far right
- Click on Snipping Tool
- To activate Left Click Hold in the upper right hand corner of what needs to be captured
- Drag the cursor to the lower right hand corner of what needs to be copied let go Ensure that the selection is what you need
- The captured image will display in the Snipping Tool window so it can be saved or pasted into Microsoft Word
Windows 10:
- Open the window you want to capture (such as your quiz results)
- Click on Start
- Type in "Snipping Tool" in the search window at the bottom of the screen
- Click on Snipping Tool
- To activate Left Click Hold in the upper right hand corner of what needs to be captured
- Drag the cursor to the lower right hand corner of what needs to be copied let go Ensure that the selection is what you need
- The captured image will display in the Snipping Tool window so it can be saved or pasted into Microsoft Word
Options for saving for all versions of Windows:
Save as Image/Picture
- Click File
- Click Save As
- Choose location to save to (save it to Desktop if unsure)
- Under Save as type select JPEG file
Paste in Microsoft Word
- Open Microsoft Word
- Press the CTRL+ V or keys on keyboard or to paste (you should see the capture)
- Save and submit the file per your instructors directions
